Burial – New WWII thriller is said to be a mix of Green Room, 1917, and Headhunters
This new film directed by Ben Parker sounds fantastic.
Set in the last days of WWII it follows a small band of Russian soldiers, led by intelligence officer Brana Vasilyeva, tasked with trafficking the remains of Hitler back to Stalin in Russia.
En route, the unit is attacked by German ‘Werwolf’ partisans and picked off one-by-one. Brana leads her surviving comrades to ensure their ‘cargo’ doesn’t fall into the hands of those who would see it buried, in order to hide the truth forever.
It has been likened to Green Room and Don’t Breathe meets 1971 and Headhunters. All films which I enjoyed and promise a very tense thriller.
It stars Niamh Algar, Tom Felton, Diana Rigg, Tom Glynn-Carney and Ian Hart.
