Director Patty Jenkins has been talking to Vanity Fair and it looks like she is thinking about a third Wonder Woman movie.
Reborn
Chris McKay (The Lego Batman Movie) is to direct the Millarworld comic book adaptation Reborn for Netflix, Sandra Bullock and It producer Vertigo Entertainment.
The sci-fi fantasy comic series by Mark Millar and Greg Capullo tells the story of an eighty year-old woman, Bonnie Black, who dies in a Manhattan hospital only to find herself reborn in the prime of life in the afterlife world of Adystria, a magical land of monsters and dragons where good and evil are waging an eternal war. There, she finds old friends and loved ones waiting, except the husband who died before her. Armed with a sword and partnered with her late father, she sets off through the battle-torn landscape on a quest to find out where he is.
Bullock will produce, as will Roy Lee and Miri Yoon for Vertigo Entertainment. Bullock could potentially play the lead – Deadline
The Punisher
Season 2 of The Punisher is now on Netflix and it is so good. As the other Marvel Netflix shows have been cancelled, it seems doubtful that there will be a third season. However, executive producer Steve Lightfoot was talking to Heroic Hollywood and said that he would like to include Daredevil and the Kingpin should there be a season 3.
Resident Evil
Netflix is developing a scripted series based on the hit action-horror franchise, Resident Evil. Deadline report that the series will be a Netflix global original. German production and distribution company Constantin Film, which is behind the Resident Evil movies loosely based on the Capcom video game series, is the studio. Search is underway for a showrunner to shepherd the adaptation.
Capcom has also released a new live-action trailer for the remastered version of Resident Evil 2.
In 1998, George A. Romero produced a trailer for the original Resident Evil 2. 21 years later, we give you a RE2 Remake live-action trailer inspired by his work!
The Dude Returns
Jeff Bridges’ The Dude always abides and it seems that The Big Lebowski character is returning in some form. Bridges shared this teaser of him as The Dude while Bob Dylan’s “The Man in Me” plays. It ends with the date 2.3.19, which is Super Bowl Sunday.

Morbius
Matt Smith (Doctor Who) is in final talks to join Jared Leto in Morbius, a film based on the Spider-Man villain of the same name.
Daniel Espinosa (Safe House) will direct the movie. Exact details of who Smith would play are unknown at this time, other than it being a major role in the film. Morbius was a scientist who tried to cure himself of a blood disease, with tragic results. He became afflicted with vampiric traits such as fangs and a thirst for blood — and wound up battling Spider-Man – Variety
Briarpatch
USA Network has picked up UCP and Paramount Television’s new anthology drama series, with the first season titled Briarpatch. Starring Rosario Dawson (Rent, Seven Pounds, Daredevil), the first season is based on the Ross Thomas novel of the same name. It is written for television by Andy Greenwald, who will executive produce, along with Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail through his production company Esmail Corp, and Anonymous Content’s Chad Hamilton. Ana Lily Amirpour directed the pilot and also served as an executive producer. In addition to her starring role, Dawson will serve as a producer on Briarpatch.
Briarpatch follows Allegra Dill (Dawson), a dogged investigator returning to her border-town Texas home after her sister is murdered. What begins as a search for a killer turns into an all-consuming fight to bring her corrupt hometown to its knees. The season celebrates the beloved genres represented by Thomas’ book – a stylish blend of crime and pulp fiction – while updating his sense of fun, danger and place for a new generation.
