Local Milton Keynes premiere for new thriller, King of Crime, out today!
The main cast of King Of Crime walked the red carpet on Monday night, to celebrate this week’s release of the year’s most contemporary gangster film. Organised through Xscape’s Cineworld, writer/producer Linda Dunscombe and Peter Dunscombe, the star-studded event saw the likes of Mark Wingett (Quadrophenia, The Bill), Claire King (Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Bad Girls), Rachel Bright (Eastenders), Hainsley Lloyd Bennett (Eastenders, Pennyworth), Jonno Davies (Park Theatre’s A Clockwork Orange, Kingsman: The Secret) and Jack Loy (Bite, Doctors) attending.
The pre-production, and a lot of the filming took place in Milton Keynes, so it was fitting to see the film go from page to premiere in its hometown city. Supporting cast, as well crew members, and fellow producer James Welling joined, too, in a packed-out screening that was a first viewing for many of the production.
The film is out in select cinemas tomorrow, and the synopsis is as follows:
When Marcus King, Britain’s most notorious cybercriminal, finds himself at the mercy of some extremists, he knows it’s time to settle some old scores, play one of the biggest scams of his life, and defeat the terrorists.
It’s just a question of whether he can manoeuvre his footsoldiers, protect his wife, and decipher some double‐crossing before he’s safe in the land of milk and honey.
A modern of version of The Long Good Friday, meets Swordfish, King Of Crime will be out on Home Ent and Digital release early next year, after its theatrical run.
