Snake Plissken was a Jedi? Check out the endings of Escape from L.A. and Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen John Carpenter’s Escape from LA or Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

While I love John Carpenter, Escape from LA was a big let down for me and I was extremely disappointed with The Last Jedi (you can read my review here).

Lost Theater and Leon Arseneau noticed some similarities between the endings of both films and put together this video. It has been many years since I last watched Escape from LA so hadn’t thought of this, but I think Lost Theater is definitely onto something.

Are there similarities or are they just clutching at straws?
