Upgrade gets an 80’s throwback trailer

From Blumhouse Productions (Get Out, Happy Death Day, and The Purge), Upgrade is written and directed by Australian actor/filmmaker Leigh Whannell, who is better known as the co-creator of the Saw and Insidious films.

After his wife is killed during a brutal mugging that also leaves him paralyzed, Grey Trace (Logan Marshall Green) is approached by a billionaire inventor with an experimental cure that will “upgrade” his body. The cure — an Artificial Intelligence implant called STEM — gives Grey physical abilities beyond anything experienced and the ability to relentlessly claim vengeance against those who murdered his wife and left him for dead.

The film stars Logan Marshall-Green, Betty Gabriel, and Harrison Gilbertson.

I really like the look of this and had been thinking it had a very 80’s VHS kind of story.  CryptTV put together this excellent throwback video that does the 80’s thing so well.

Thanks to Alan for sending it over.

Here is the Red Band trailer for the film.

Upgrade is due out on 1st June 2018.
