– It looks like Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are hoping to bring us a sequel for Zombieland “We’re going on the tenth anniversary of Zombieland,” Wernick tells Vulture. “Zombieland came out October of 2009. We don’t know what you get someone for their tenth anniversary, but it may be a Zombieland 2.” Though he hedged with that “may be,” it seems like it’s not so far from a “will be.” “The hope is that we’re shooting that thing early 2019 for an October of ’19 release,” Wernick added — then tossed in even more good news for devotees: “With the original cast, by the way.”

Marvel Studios is looking at bringing the Jack Kirby-created title The Eternals to the big screen. The studio has hired writers Matthew and Ryan Firpo, whose spec script Ruin shot to the top of the 2017 Black List, to write the script – The saga of the Eternals began millions of years ago when the cosmic beings known as the Celestials genetically experimented on humans, creating the super-powered and near-immortal beings and a more monstrous off-shoot known as the Deviants. The two races moved behind the scenes throughout human history while also engaging in Game of Thrones-style cosmic powerplays.

Gary Oldman has been set to direct and star in Flying Horse, a fact-based story of a photographer who helped develop the moving picture, but whose own dark moments defined his life. The script was written by Oldman. Flying Horse captures the story of Eadweard Muybridge, the photographer who was considered one of the true fathers of the moving image. In 1872, Muybridge was living the life as a successful photographer, contracted by the former governor of California to capture a horse-in-motion. And then, his life exploded, when he discovered his wife Flora was having an affair with the dapper critic Major Harry Larkyns. Muybridge’s story turns to one of revenge, murder, and the search for justice. He killed his wife’s lover, and then was acquitted on grounds of justifiable homicide – Deadline
