There are three Blade Runner 2049 prequel short film “in-world” pieces that explains what happened in the world of Blade Runner between the first movie, set in 2019, and this sequel, set in 2049.

We already had one featuring Jared Leto and the latest one stars Dave Bautista.

Blade Runner 2049 stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison FordDave Bautista, Ana de Armas, David Dastmalchian, Hiam Abbass, Jared Leto and Robin Wright. It is directed by Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Prisoners).

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new Blade Runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD Blade Runner who has been missing for 30 years.

The film is written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and succeeds the initial story by Fancher and David Peoples based on Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

More Blade Runner coverage
The film is out on 6th October 2017.
