Looks like Namor is back with Marvel Studios

“Imperius Rex!”

Namor The Sub-Mariner is a Marvel Comic Book character whose TV and Film rights have been all over the place. He is one of Marvel’s first mutants so that would have presumably put him alongside the X-Men with Fox.

However, that may not be the case as Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada mentioned the Namor rights on the Fat Man on Batman podcast.

He was then asked if we would be seeing Namor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sometime soon…

Interesting news, of course this doesn’t mean he is going to show up any time soon. Namor was always a favourite character of mine. I always loved John Byrne’s run on Namor The Sub-Mariner. His arrogance and strength would make an interesting addition to the MCU.

Who would you like to see play the character? I would have said Mads Mikkelsen, but he is already in the new Doctor Strange movie.
